Add a splash of color to your egg basket with our stunning blue egg layers! These breeds are known for their vibrant, pale to deep blue eggs and friendly personalities. Many of these breeds have been carefully developed to improve egg color while maintaining their productivity and unique characteristics.
Butter Blues: With their Sicilian Buttercup-like coloring and medium-large blue eggs, these talkative and spunky hens are bursting with personality. They can move fast and tend to be good at avoiding predators!
Egg production: 240-260 eggs per year.
Creole Blue: A colorful hybrid with a range of egg hues from light blue to turquoise, Whiting Creoles are hardy birds with crests and some beard/muffs. They are a relatively calm, often friendly bird.
Egg production: 230-250 eggs per year.
Cream Legbars: Friendly and easy-going, these hens produce medium blue-teal eggs and are color-sexable at hatch, making them a favorite for backyard flocks. They tend to be friendly, curious birds.

Pewter Blues: Part of Dr. Whiting’s “Pewter Project,” these unique hens lay beautiful blue eggs and have a consistent coloration with beards or muffs. They have fun personalities and tend to be flock favorites.

Whiting True Blues: Our most popular breed! These dependable hens produce large blue eggs and come in a variety of feather colors, leg colors and personalities.

Whiting True Greens: Hardy and efficient, these reddish-brown birds produce beautiful green to dark green eggs. They are excellent free-rangers with a friendly temperament and great feed-to-egg conversion.
